I gotta say to Stephen and Co. that it is so awesome to me that you’ve cultivated a community where Jeff can feel free to share the furry stuff with us without concern about backlash or harassment. I think it speaks volumes to how well you’ve built this audience which is accepting and friendly via your content which is made of the same 🖤

Thanks everybody for the warm response and kind words! Regarding ambient temperature and keeping cool, the faux fur that makes up the body suit has a breathable backing and I'm wearing a wicking base layer underneath to assist with cooling. It does get very warm inside, but if you move at a slow enough walking pace and there's a decent breeze, it's pretty easy to avoid overheating. I would never call it "comfortable," but you get used to the feeling after a while.
That said, suiting/performing in these conditions (and in general) is a very demanding cardio activity, so being in good physical shape, knowing what it feels like to overdo it, and staying hydrated/taking frequent breaks are all important. I was glad that we were able to move to a shaded area at the end and I would not have gone out at all if the temperature/heat index had been too much higher.
I'm really grateful that Stephen, Mal, and Chaz all tagged along and that Stephen put together this lovely montage to share! It's a great example of why we do this, and that's simply because it's a lot of fun for both the performer and the public.
Thank YOU, both for doing this and for your words just now. I had been struggling to "get" furries - not out of malice, just a lack of understanding - and your use of the word "performer" has FINALLY made everything slot into place!

I just find it funny how most of the vlogs are video game/slice of life and this one is the furry episode. I wasn't expecting it even if Chap is like open about being a furry with you guys.

Man the fursuit photoshoot stuff was extremely wholesome. I doubt this will happen often (if it happens again at all) but it was fun to watch. I think Stephen's reactions to "IDK what this is but sure" was funny to me too. Its good stuff!
My friends have a variety of backgrounds and interests, and I think one of the best ways to show friendship is supporting who they are and what they do. In my specific case, I’m also extremely grateful for the opportunity to document my friends’ lives and events - it’s fun not only to join in for things like this but also to capture and edit something completely new.

as a queer furry it feels so good to see content creators so supportive and seeing people who i look up to having the hobby yk, it really means alot to see such a wholesome community that ive been with for so long only get better. Also, that suit looks absolutely amazing!!

I'm not a furry but I respect the craftsmanship that goes into making a fursuit.
I'm not a furry either, but I actually find furries to be fun and intelligent to talk to, no matter if their outfits might come as "weird" to the average Joe.
I'm Norwegian, and furries are heavily frowned upon here, but I'm in the minority who respects them.
As a person whose been always kinda quiet about being a furry, seeing Jeff walk around in public in his fursuit (which looks amazing btw) without any judgement or harassment made me really happy. Those sweet old ladies asking questions and asking to take pictures definitely warmed my cold, jaded heart a little 😊

As someone who has worn a full fursuit in the summer, holy crap it feels so hot.
I wore one in the middle of the fall when it was 30 degrees outside but wearing my suit made it feel like a mid-summer day. lol
As someone who overheats super easily I was sweating just watching!

it's not often i log into actual youtube anymore, but the comments i managed to see were so lovely that i wanted to share in the love for chap! he's so cute!!
I didn't know that jeff was a furry, and it's awesome! As a fellow furry (I don't have a fursuit tho) it's really cool seeing him out and about in public, kinda makes me wanna get a fursuit too. Awesome fursona! Love how wholesome people were reacting to the suit

I just wanted to thank Hayley for spreading the word about Duluth. It's such a great store. I started buying stuff from there after the previous vlog. I've been super happy with everything I've been managing to grab.
As another little old lady, omg, I'd have wear that suit in a meat freezer. I can't imagine having a hot flash in that thing! It's lovely btw, and I'm always impressed by the craftsmanship.

Mad respect Jeff for being in that suit. I used to dress up in a suit at the swimming pool I used to work at and boy I never produced more sweat than I did on the 5 occasions that I dressed up as a swordfish and a dog.

Oh lord, my partner has a suit and he has described it as wearing a couch and we live a lot more north than you guys, so I can only imagine how hot it was for him that day. Glad it went well and no one got heat stroke!!
How on earth did Jeff not burn up in the fursuit???? I understand that furries are way up in the tech industry, but I didnt think they could install fans in the fursuits.

Whatever Stephen shows off on his vlogs is ultimately his choice. Sometimes he may touch upon news especially if it has impacts down to our lives or has a message for us to take action on, but only if he chooses to do so. This is ultimately a vlog of his life and the lives of friends and family.
Right now everyone is supercharged over it. Stephen adding his voice and opinions will not help.
Not only that, but people come to these vlogs as a way to escape the news.
He put "shoot" in the title. That's clear acknowledgement in my book.
